This insulin resistance screening program is suitable for individuals who wish to know if they are at risk of insulin resistance. It helps in planning prevention and treatment for diabetes and is available for both men and women.
The Diabetes Screening Program includes the following tests :
- Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
- Accumulated Blood Sugar Level (HbA1C)
- Insulin level screening
C-peptide level
Preparation before receiving the service :
- Fast from food and beverages for 8-12 hours (water intake is allowed).
- Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours.
- Ensure adequate sleep of 6-8 hours.
- Continue taking regular medications (but please inform the staff before receiving the service).
- Inform the staff of any chronic illnesses or other relevant health history for diagnostic purposes.
- Wear comfortable clothing for blood sampling.
- Avoid testing within 7 days before or after menstruation for women.
