Preparation Before Your Appointment
- Fast for 8–12 hours (no food or drinks); plain water is allowed in small sips.
- Avoid dietary supplements or vitamins for at least 24 hours before the test.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before the test.
- Avoid strenuous exercise and get 6–8 hours of sleep before your appointment.
