Osteoporosis Risk Assessment

Price 9,800 ฿ (THB).

Osteoporosis is a condition in which bone mass decreases and bone structure becomes fragile, increasing the risk of fractures—even from minor impacts. Often called a “silent disease,” it typically shows no symptoms until a fracture occurs, leaving many unaware that they are at risk.

This program is designed to evaluate bone mineral status and other related factors such as hormone levels, calcium, and vitamin D. Early detection of bone deterioration can help develop a proper care plan to slow down or prevent the progression of osteoporosis in the long term.

Osteoporosis Risk Assessment includes the following tests:

  • Bone Marker Profile: Total P1NP, b-Cross Laps, Osteocalcin
  • Vitamin D (Total)
  • Parathyroid Hormone (PTH)
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Phosphorus
  • Alkaline Phosphatase (Liver Enzyme)
  • IGF-1 (Hormone related to growth and metabolism)
  • SHBG (Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin)
  • Estrogen (Female Hormone)

Preparation Guidelines:

  1. Fast for 8–12 hours before the test (water is allowed).
  2. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before the test.
  3. Refrain from taking supplements such as calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D for 24–48 hours prior.
  4. Get enough sleep (6–8 hours) the night before.
  5. Avoid intense physical activity for 24 hours before the test.
  6. Avoid smoking and caffeine for at least 8–12 hours before the test.
  7. Schedule the test in the morning (before 10:00 AM) for optimal hormone accuracy.
  8. Wear loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access for blood collection.
