This screening program is designed to thoroughly assess pancreatic function by analyzing related enzymes and hormone levels. It helps detect abnormalities at an early stage and provides a foundation for personalized health planning to reduce the risk of future complications.
Pancreas Function Screening includes the following tests:
- Liver Function Panel : TP, Albumin, Globulin, Total Bilirubin, Direct Bilirubin, AST, ALT, ALP
- Gamma-Glutamyl Transferase (GGT)
- Insulin Level
- Pancreatic Enzymes: Amylase, Lipase
- Tumor Marker for Pancreas, Bile Duct, and Gallbladder: CA 19-9
Preparation Guidelines:
- Fast for 8–12 hours before the test (water is allowed).
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before the test.
- Avoid dietary supplements such as vitamins B, C, D or herbal remedies for at least 24 hours.
- Avoid using pain relievers, fever reducers, or anti-inflammatory medications unless necessary.
- Get sufficient rest (6–8 hours of sleep) the night before.
- Inform the staff of any chronic conditions, medications, or relevant medical history.
- Wear clothing that allows easy access for blood collection.
