Resveratrol

What is Resveratrol?

Resveratrol is a polyphenol and antioxidant compound that is derived from the winemaking process, which is different from other alcoholic beverages. Red wine contains the most of this important compound, which is found in

  • Japanese bamboo shoots (Polygonum Cuspidatum)
  • Grapes
  • Berries such as blueberries, cranberries, and mulberries contain Resveratrol,

Research has shown it to be an NAD+ activator. It stimulates Sirtuin genes (there are seven Sirtuin genes in total), particularly Sirt1, which plays a key role in regulating aging and preventing diseases. Resveratrol helps slow down cell degeneration, increases the length of telomeres, and revitalizes the skin, promoting a youthful appearance. Additionally, it contains Honokiol, an extract from magnolia, which activates Sirt3, boosting energy in the mitochondria and promoting relaxation and better sleep.
