This health check-up program is designed to help assess the risk of heatstroke, a potentially life-threatening condition that can affect individuals of all ages and genders, especially during periods of extreme heat. Being aware of early signs and symptoms allows for timely health planning and prevention, ensuring safety and a better quality of life.
The Heatstroke Screening Includes:
- Complete Blood Count (CBC )
- Urinalysis
- Kidney Function Test (BUN, Creatinine + eGFR)
- Liver Function Test
- Electrolyte Panel
- Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK) – Cardiac Muscle Enzyme Test
- High-Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP) – Indicator of inflammation or cardiovascular risk
- Homocysteine – Marker for cardiovascular disease risk
Preparation Before the Check-up:
- Fasting for 8–12 hours (plain water is allowed).
- Avoid alcoholic beverages for at least 24 hours.
- Get sufficient sleep (6–8 hours).
- Regular medications may be taken (please inform the staff beforehand).
- If you have any underlying conditions or health history, kindly inform the medical staff for proper diagnosis.
- Wear loose-fitting clothing for ease of blood collection.
- Women should avoid testing during menstruation and 7 days before and after.
