This screening program is suitable for the general population who wish to determine their risk of developing diabetes in order to plan for prevention and treatment. Both men and women can undergo this screening.
The Diabetes Screening Program includes the following tests :
- Fasting Blood Sugar level screening
- HbA1C (Glycated Haemoglobin) level screening
- Insulin level screening
- Kidney function test (BUN, Creatinine, eGFR)
- Uric Acid level screening
Preparation before receiving the service :
- Fast from food and beverages for 8-12 hours (water intake is allowed).
- Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 24 hours.
- Ensure adequate sleep of 6-8 hours.
- Continue taking regular medications (but please inform the staff before receiving the service).
- Inform the staff of any chronic illnesses or other relevant health history for diagnostic purposes.
- Wear comfortable clothing for blood sampling.
- Avoid testing within 7 days before or after menstruation for women.
