Preparation Before the Health Checkup
- Please schedule an appointment in advance to confirm your blood collection time, fasting requirements, and receive instructions on the stool collection kit.
- Avoid all food and beverages, except plain water, for the fasting period specified by the laboratory.
- Get adequate rest and avoid strenuous exercise before the test.
- Inform the laboratory of any medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking, especially biotin, iron, vitamin B12, folate, antibiotics, probiotics, and laxatives, to receive appropriate guidance. Do not stop or adjust any medications without consulting your healthcare provider.
- If you have received vitamin B12 injections, please inform the laboratory of the date of your most recent injection before your appointment.
- Collect your stool sample using the collection kit provided by the laboratory. Avoid contamination with urine or toilet water, and carefully follow the instructions regarding sample quantity, storage conditions, and delivery time.
- Inform the laboratory of any underlying medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, as well as any recent colonoscopy or bowel cleansing procedures.
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access for blood collection.
