Preparation Before the Test
- Fast for 8–12 hours before the test. Plain water is allowed. This helps improve the accuracy of the test results.
- Blood collection is recommended between 7:00–10:00 a.m., as certain hormone levels naturally vary throughout the day.
- Avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours before the test.
- Get adequate sleep and rest the night before the test, as insufficient rest may affect certain hormone levels.
- Before blood collection, sit and rest for approximately 15–30 minutes and avoid stress or strenuous activity.
- Do not stop taking any medication on your own. Please inform the staff about any regular medications, birth control pills, hormones, vitamins, or supplements you are currently taking.
- If you are taking vitamins or supplements containing Biotin (Vitamin B7), please inform the staff before the test, as biotin may interfere with certain laboratory test results.
- For women, please inform the staff about your menstrual cycle, pregnancy, menopausal status, or hormone use, as these factors may be relevant when interpreting the test results.
